Riza earned great credit for his work in youth development at Orient and promoted many of his young players when he took control of the first team at a time of crisis.

He managed with dignity against the odds and declined the opportunity to return to a youth team role when the club was sold to new owners after relegation from the Football League.

Riza did sign for non-league side Newmarket Town, who play in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, in December and has made five appearances.
