Omicron cluster in NSW grows to 31 cases – but NONE of those infected with the super mutant variant are in hospital
- NSW now has 31 cases linked to Omicron variant, NSW Health said on Tuesday
- None of these cases have been admitted to hospital for treatment
New South Wales’ Omicron cluster has exploded to 31 cases after the state recorded another 260 Covid-19 infections on Tuesday.
NSW Health confirmed that despite more Omicron cases being detected, there are yet to be any residents with the variant admitted to hospital.
Two deaths were also recorded, a fully vaccinated woman in her 90s from western Sydney and an unvaccinated man in his 90s from south-west Sydney.
Both had underlying health conditions.

There are now fears surrounding a cluster linked to Regents Park Christian School, St Peter Chanel Catholic Primary School in Regents Park, and the Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym in Villawood in South Western Sydney.
Twenty cases of the Omicron variant have been linked to this cluster.
The cluster is believed to have started from a returning overseas traveller who arrived in Sydney on November 23 and had spent time in Nigeria.
