One of the victims had already died while five more were seriously injured.

The incident reportedly occurred when an elderly driver was trying to parallel park his car on the street and accidentally hit the wrong pedal.

‘It sounded like a big boom. People were screaming,’ a witness who runs a parking lot near the crash told the New York Post.

‘I saw people under the car, a lot of blood.’

The NYPD put out a traffic advisory urging people to avoid the area until further notice and expect heavy delays.
