One person has been critically injured and another six left in a serious condition after a minibus carrying 15 passengers collided with a car.

Police said the car flipped on its roof and several people were trapped inside the minibus.

Ambulance crews were rushed to Glenore Grove in the Lockyer Valley, west of Brisbane, after the car collided with the minibus about 2.30pm on Friday.

Services on the scene treating victims included two emergency helicopters, critical care paramedics and the high acuity response unit. 

Police said victims trapped in the minibus has been released.
