One-year-old boy tragically dies after being run over in a driveway in Adelaide 

A one-year-old boy has died after being run over in a driveway in Adelaide.

Paramedics rushed to a home in Parafield Gardens just before 5.30pm – but the child could not be saved.

A 49-year-old man driving the car was not injured. He is helping police with their investigations.

A South Australia police statement read: ‘Police and emergency services raced to Lancaster Avenue, Parafield Gardens just before 5.30pm on Wednesday 27 June but the toddler could not be saved.

‘The 15-month-old boy, from Parafield Gardens, sadly died at the scene.

‘The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old Salisbury man, was not injured and is assisting police with the investigation into the crash.

‘Major Crash investigators attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances that led to the tragedy.

‘The death takes the State’s road toll to 39, it was 39 at the same time last year.’
