Oregon boy calls 911 to report mother for driving drunk

  • Nicole Norris was reported by her 11-year-old son at around 9pm on Saturday
  • She was pulled over by deputies from Washington County Sheriff’s Office
  • Her blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit and she was cited for DUI
  • The young boy was praised for showing guts by a deputy after the arrest 

A drink-driver was reported to police by her own 11-year-old son, who rang the sheriff’s office from the back seat.

Nicole Norris, 30, was pulled over by deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and cited for DUI.

The youngster has been praised for his actions.

The sheriff’s office posted an image of Norris being stopped, alongside the caption:’Deputy Gilderson conducts DUII investigation after 11 year old boy calls 9-1-1 from car to report mom is driving drunk’

Deputy Shannon Wilde told KGW:  ‘I think it absolutely says that he’s a courageous young man, who knows the difference between right and wrong.’

She continued: ‘I think that takes a lot of guts and he obviously felt unsafe enough to the point where he had to reach out for help, which says a lot about the situation.’
