A household hack queen has revealed how she removes oil stains from fabric using a simple and affordable method: baking soda.

Mother-of-two, Carolina, shared her easy method for how to remove pesky grime from clothes in a TikTok video, that now has more than 23,000 views. 

The mum from Perth has received nearly 1,000 likes on the video, with many praising her helpful tip in the comments.

add one cup of water and one cap of laundry detergent to a mixing bowl, mix the water and detergent combination well

The mum from Perth, WA, has received nearly 1000 likes on the video, with many praising her hard work in the comments 

To remove stains from fabric using Carolina’s method, begin by laying out your dirty clothing item and remove any excess marks. 

Than add baking soda to the shirt stain and leave it on the particular mark for up to an hour.

Next add one cup of water and one cup of laundry detergent to a mixing bowl, mix the water and detergent combination well. 

Apply the mixture onto the shirt’s grime or oil marks to see it be brought back to a pristine state.

Mum Carolina, after cleaning the shirt in the liquid, washes and dries it to reveal fresh and cleaned material.  

Other user’s have commented on the TikTok post saying they think using dish soap instead of baking soda would possibly work even quicker.
