The biggest night in film is just hours away, with Hollywood’s finest set to descend upon Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the 96th edition of the Academy Awards.

The Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and set to honor the biggest movies, actors, actresses, and directors from the past year, will begin at 7pm EST and will stream live on ABC.

The red carpet has already kicked off with some stars showing up in stunning looks – and others arriving in eyebrow-raising ensembles.

Billie Eilish, Ramy Youssef, and Eugene Lee Yang sport pins calling for ceasefire in Gaza

Musician Billie, actor Ramy, and Nimona star Eugene were all spotted donning a small red pin with the logo for Artists for Ceasefire on the Oscars red carpet.

‘We’re calling for immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza. We’re calling for peace and lasting justice for the people of Palestine,’ Ramy told Variety.

‘It’s a universal message of, “Let’s stop killing kids. Let’s not be part of more war.” No one has ever looked back at war and thought a bombing campaign was a good idea.’

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are the epitome of a happy couple on the Oscars red carpet

The couple shared a tender moment as the actor whispered into the Oppenheimer star’s ear.

They were also caught adoring looking into each other’s eyes as they both beamed.

Barbie star America looked pretty in pink on the carpet. Billie – who is nominated for Best Original Song for her Barbie smash single What Was I Made For? – opted for a black and white plaid skirt and suit jacket.

Laverne Cox has awkward red carpet encounter with deaf actress Marlee Matlin

Laverne became a hot topic of conversation on social media after she made a blunder while interviewing Marlee ahead of the show.

After asking the star, who communicates via sign language, a question, the transgender activist proceeded to pass her the microphone, rather than giving it to her interpreter.

Marlee handled it like a pro, and quickly handed the mic over to her interpreter – but people on X can’t stop talking about the interaction.

As celebrities make their way to the red carpet, demonstrators are waving flags and holding signs just outside – causing the LAPD to amp up its police presence in the area.

Several groups, including Film Workers for Palestine, have organized the protest because they believe Israel will attack Rafah in Gaza while the awards show is going on.

While some looked stunning on the red carpet, others missed the mark with fashion fails and sartorial nightmares.

Erika Alexander lead the pack in a a rather baffling gown that featured a simple white strapless silhouette – which would have been incredibly elegant, had it not been for the enormous black, purple, pink, and green tutu-style skirt that was strung around her waist, covering much of the simple dress design underneath.

Oops! The YouTube star had a bit of an awkward moment when she tripped and fell to the ground while arriving at the awards show.

Jennifer Lawrence and Emily Blunt took to the stage for a final run-thru at LA’s Dolby Theatre hours ahead of the ceremony.

The ladies dressed down in casual ensembles as they rehearsed alongside a slew of other stars including Al Pacino, Steven Spielberg, Chris Hemsworth, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Ryan Gossling, Issa Rae, Dwane ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Lupita Nyong’o, Cynthia Erivo, and Michael Keaton.

Despite the show still being hours away, some big names have already started showing up at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles in dazzling dresses and glamorous gowns.

A total of 10 films are battling it out for Best Picture while lesser known stars such as Lily Gladstone and Colman Domingo are up against seasoned actors like Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster in the acting categories.
