Police at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport were forced to taser a man to subdue him after he allegedly got aggressive with gate agents.

The incident was said to have taken place on Thursday and began after a gate agent told the man – who has not been identified – to extinguish a cigarette.

A traveler who filmed video of the moment the man was taken into custody said that the man was ‘yelling at the gate agent dumping water on him mocking him.’

The traveler said that the man then pushed a female agent and tried to hit her.

A some point, the man was then walked over to another part of the airport, where it was less crowded, in an effort to calm him down, but as video of the incident showed, it didn’t work.

‘He was just being crazy and causing a scene and started swinging so they dropped him,’ the traveler told Newsflare, also noting that after observing and listening to him, the man seemed like ‘he was straight up on another planet.’

Video of the incident begins as two officers, standing on either side of him, are seen trying to calm the man down.

‘What is this for? Are you going to do something with this?’ the man says to the officer who has his taser gun in his hand.

The man then reaches out and tries to hit the officer in the head. The officer dodges the strike, while his partner – standing behind the man – pulls out his taser.

‘Shoot me!’ the man dares the officers, before they do exactly that.

The man dances around a little as he’s shocked, before attacking the first officer again, managing to hit him a few times before falling to the floor.

As he’s flailing around, the man shouts ‘Son of b***h!’ and other choice statements.

Surrounding travelers can be seen scuttling to safety and are heard being told to ‘get back.’

While the officers wrestle the man to the ground, several brave men rush up in an effort to help subdue the man, holding down his kicking legs and jumping on top of him.

The officers command the man to put his hands behind his back multiple times.

The video ends as an officer says: ‘Do you understand? Do it now. Put your hands behind your back. Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? Put your hands behind your back.’

All told, six people – two officers and four bystanders – were involved in trying to get the man under control.

It’s unclear if the man will face any charged stemming from the incident.
