A heartwarming video shows a man and his family in Preston, Connecticut, helping a barred owl that has been caught in a soccer net.
The man cuts hole in the net and tries to free the owl’s wings.
The bird looks terrified with wide eyes and its mouth open as a sign of fear. The man tries to comfort the owl by saying: ‘It’s alright.’

A man and his family came to the owl’s aide by cutting the net and untangling the bird’s wings
A child can be heard behind the camera saying: ‘That’s a big wing.’
Another person shows up with a pair of gloves for the man so he doesn’t damage the owl’s feathers with his bare hands.
After a lot of untangling from both sides of the net, the man is finally able to pull the owl’s leg and get it out.
The owl grabs the man’s wrist and he carries it away from the net across a field to ensure that it won’t get caught in that mess again.
The video was taken on August 28 by one of the family members. It was posted to Jukin Media on September 6.
