Ozzy Osbourne gave an update on his health during an appearance at Comic-Con International’s second day, which was held in San Diego on Friday.
The 73-year-old singer went under the knife in June and the reason for the surgery is still unknown but his wife Sharon previously revealed the result will ‘determine the rest of his life’.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the event, he said: ‘I like to see people, you know. That’s been the hardest thing of the past three years, because I’ve been trying to recover from my surgery.’

Revealing he is on the mend, he added: ‘I’m getting there. It’s a slow climb back, you know?’
He was pictured with comics industry mainstay Todd McFarlane, with whom he recently collaborated on a comic book entitled Patient Number 9.
The performer’s outing also took place just a few months before the planned release of his forthcoming studio album of the same name.

Osbourne opted to wear a black shirt underneath a matching jacket during his time at Comic-Con.
The Black Sabbath frontman also donned a pair of round-framed and blue-tinted sunglasses.
His wife, Sharon, was also in attendance, and she wore a lavender-colored jacket on top of a white shirt.
The reality television personality contrasted the lighter tones of her clothing with a large pair of black sunglasses.

Osbourne previously announced that Patient Number 9, which would serve as his 13th solo album, was in the works last month.
The title track for the record was also made available to the public following the announcement.
The record will feature appearances from musicians such as Robert Trujillo, Chad Smith and Eric Clapton, as well as his frequent collaborators Zakk Wylde and Tommy Iommi.
Patient Number 9 is currently scheduled to be released on September 9.

The music video for the track, which also featured Jeff Beck, included several works of art that were produced by McFarlane.
The comics industry powerhouse previously spoke to ComicBook.com about the impressive nature of the song’s visuals.
He stated that, during the development process for the video, he and his collaborators wanted to ‘make this as rambunctious and illogical as possible, and…see what happens when we sort of pour it out to the public.’
He also hinted at other collaborations with Osbourne, stating: ‘There’s still a couple surprises still to come down the pipeline. We’ve got a couple things brewing.’

Osbourne’s outing occurred just a few weeks after undergoing major surgery.
According to Page Six, the singer’s doctors would have to ‘remove and realign pins in his neck and back’ during the procedure.
Sharon, 69, shared a message to her Twitter account the day after the surgery to thank her fans for sending their best wishes to the singer.
She also made a point of writing: ‘Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery!’
