Ozzy Osbourne appeared to be in high spirits while flashing a peace sign as he stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday amid his Parkinson’s battle.

The Black Sabbath rocker, 74, who was recently seen enjoying a relaxing stroll earlier this week on Thursday, had the support of a cane while getting fresh air in the warmer weather.

The Crazy Train singer was diagnosed with the disease back in 2003, but didn’t publicly reveal his diagnosis until January 2020.

The legendary performer, who has hinted about his possible return to the stage to tour once again, opted for a monochromatic ensemble during the outing, and donned a pair of black pants along with a plain, black sweater.

The star additionally wore a long, black coat which he chose to leave unbuttoned, and slipped into a pair of comfortable, dark navy sneakers.

Ozzy appeared to be in positive spirits and held up his left hand as he flashed a peace sign, revealing a flashy, gold watch that was placed on his wrist. 

The singer, who has been married to wife, Sharon Osbourne, since 1982, announced earlier this year in February that he would officially be retiring from touring and released a heartfelt statement to express the decision. 

He had stated at the time, ‘This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.’ The star had taken a fall in 2019 in a bathroom, causing him to injure the vertebrae in his neck and needing surgery.

‘My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine,’ he penned, adding that after ‘three operations’ his ‘body is still physically weak.’ 

‘I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time,’ Ozzy graciously told his fans, but explained he would have to cancel his upcoming tour dates. He had been set to go on tour beginning next month in May. 

‘Never would have I imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,’ he typed out, and later concluded by thanking his close friends and family, as well as his ‘fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all…’ 

However, the following month, while talking on an episode of Sirius XM’s Ozzy Speaks, the rocker revealed that he’s, ‘been working my guts out to try and get back on my feet.’ 

‘But right now, if you said to me: ‘Can you go on the road in a month?’ I couldn’t say yes,’ he added. ‘I mean, if I could tour, I’d tour. But right now I can’t book tours because right now I don’t think I could pull them off.’

Osbourne then admitted that, ‘If I get okay today, if the doctor said to me today, ‘Oh, you can tour,’ it would take another six months to get it together, you know?’

The Paranoid rocker additionally got candid about his health battle and revealed, ‘I feel like a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest.’

‘The only thing I’ve got that keeps me going is making records. But I can’t do that forever. I gotta get out there, you know?’ But he added that he is still in ‘constant pain.’ 

‘I do to the best I can to stay away from the pain medication, but there are times when I go, ‘You know, I’ve gotta take something. I mean, last week I couldn’t…I’ve been sleeping great, and all of a sudden for two back-to-back nights. I never slept a wink.’

Then much to the delight of Ozzy’s devoted fans, AC/DC along with Metallica and Ozzy himself, were announced to be headlining a new festival called, Power Trip, per Variety late last month in March. 

Other notable performers that are set to also take to the stage include Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and also Iron Maiden. 

According to the outlet, the festival is scheduled to take place later this year in October in Indio, California, where the annual Coachella music festival is also held.

In January 2020, the star, who is also known as the ‘Prince of Darkness,’ revealed that he has Parkinson’s in an emotional interview with his wife Sharon.

The then-71-year-old sat down with Good Morning America to reveal he could no longer hide his health struggles and that he is on a ‘whole host’ of medications to treat his nerve pain.

It began, he said, when he suffered a fall in 2019 and had to undergo surgery for it. After that, he started experiencing nerve pain and doctors have had a hard time pinpointing whether the fall, the surgery, or his condition are to blame for his condition.

Insisting he was ‘far from’ his deathbed – as had been misreported – he said he wanted to ‘own up’ to his condition for the sake of his fans.

‘It has been terribly challenging for us,’ he said of the last year. ‘I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves. I found out that I have a mild form of….’ he said before looking to his wife to finish his sentence.

Sharon added, ‘It’s Parkin 2 which is a form of Parkinson’s. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s.’
