Packing on the PDA! Hugh Sheridan and fiancé Kurt Roberts share a smooch on coffee date in Brisbane

Hugh Sheridan got engaged to their fiancé Kurt Roberts in January, after three months after dating.

And the couple appeared more loved up then ever on Friday, as they packed on the PDA while visiting a café in Brisbane.

Packed to the Rafters star Hugh, 36, who identifies as non-binary and goes by the pronouns they/them, shared a kiss with Kurt on the relaxed outing.

Hugh took a break from filming the upcoming Stan film, Christmas on the Farm, to enjoy a coffee date with their lover.

The couple were joined with a friend on the outing, who appeared to be working on a laptop.

Hugh donned a dapper woolen blazer, teamed with a white T-shirt and camel chino pants.

The star accessorised with a pair of stylish sunglasses and brown boots.

Meanwhile, TikTok star and banker Kurt, 29, rocked a more casual look.

The couple’s outing comes after the actor – who ‘doesn’t label themselves as anything but human’ – confirmed that they weren’t opposed to falling in love with a female in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.

‘I wasn’t opposed to meeting a girl, but it just so happened I met a guy,’ Hugh said in August, adding they were ‘ready for a serious relationship’ before meeting Kurt.

‘I’ve dated both genders. I don’t label myself as anything but human.’

Speaking of their first meeting, Hugh explained that they met Kurt in December 2020 while attending a party at Baz Lurhmann’s old house.

‘I saw him and really liked him. He knew who I was and thought I was in the too-hard basket, so played a little hard to get,’ Hugh laughed.

Hugh told the publication that although they met another ‘nice’ guy at the party, they decided to meet Kurt for a drink – and the couple have been inseparable since.

It comes just weeks after Hugh was forced to defend their gender identity after coming out as a ‘nonbinary human’.

Nonbinary people don’t categorise their gender identify as either male or female and often go by the pronouns they/them.

The Logie winning actor was criticised by somebody online who took a dig at them by posting an article titled, ‘How the nonbinary trend hurts those with real gender dysphoria’.

The article accuses celebrities of jumping on a gender bandwagon by coming out as nonbinary for publicity.

‘We have celebrities who are capitalising on gender’s moment in the sun,’ it reads.

‘If someone has a large public following, and they announce they are nonbinary, it is hard to believe that doing so is anything but a publicity stunt to get people talking about them.

‘Identifying as nonbinary provides social and literal, currency; and public figures who ‘come out’ as nonbinary obtain adulation and newfound relevance as every media publication in the world hails them for their strength as a trailblazer.’

Hitting back, Hugh reposted the article on Instagram Stories and wrote: ‘Read what you posted… think about me as a REAL human and then educate yourself.’

The star added: ‘You can’t imagine. Obviously.’
