Palatial Sandbanks home goes on sale for record £8.75million

The largest and most luxurious house to ever come on the market on the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula has gone up for sale for a whopping £8.75million.

The Moorings, a harbour front mansion with stunning sea views, is on one of the most enviable plots of land, located on the Millionaire’s Row in Dorset.

Its owners, entrepreneur Chris Thomas and wife Sue, spent a staggering £5.5million on building the palatial home that has been compared to a five star hotel.

The estate will set records in Sandbanks for being the largest home sold, as well as being the most expensive if the sale brings in more than £7million.

Previously, another home on the peninsula was listed for more than £8.75million but never sold.

‘Usually when you get an end user spec property that comes on the market, they tend to be very personal to the tastes of the outgoing owners.

‘But with this property the style and lay out of it is very modern and up to date. There are a lot of open plan rooms and a lot of glass that maximises the views. It would fit most people’s tastes.
