Pamela Anderson wrote Britney Spears ‘a private letter’ after singer said she’s ‘such a fan’ of her

Pamela Anderson wrote Britney Spears a letter after the pop star praised her in a recent Instagram post.

The 55-year-old actress said she had sent the 41-year-old singer a private message while also comparing their tough personal lives.

The Baywatch star told ET Canada: ‘I wrote her a letter back and hopefully she’s received it by now.’

She went on to reference the hardships they each have had in their personal lives.

Pamela said: ‘It’s hard when the people closest to you betray you or use you. You’re like a moneymaker. It’s painful.’

Shimmering: Britney is seen in a recent Instagram post

Goes both ways: Pamela Anderson wrote Britney Spears a letter after the pop star praised her in a recent Instagram post

Just days ago Britney heaped praise on Pamela in an Instagram post, which was quickly deleted, as she praised Anderson for being a sex symbol at the height of her Baywatch fame, and Britney added that the actress was ‘still’ very much a sex symbol years later.

But in her lengthy caption, Britney got more serious as she saluted the 55-year-old actress’ sons Brandon Thomas Lee, 26, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 25, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Pamela’s sons have lately spoken out in her defense ahead of the premiere of the new Netflix documentary about her, Pamela, A Love Story, and they have spoken critically about the Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy, which their mother disapproved of.

Britney’s comments praising Pamela’s sons arrive as her own sons Sean, 17, and Jayden, 16, have opted to not see her in recent months, which their father Kevin Federline claimed was due to Britney’s bizarre and sometimes risqué social media posts.

‘I’m such a fan of Pamela Anderson,’ Britney began her lengthy caption, which was attached to a seemingly unrelated black-and-white photo from 1941 by D. H. Calcraft that showed a group of children chalking up a sidewalk.

‘She was the only sex icon at one time in America and she still is!!!’ the singer–songwriter gushed.

‘I really respect the fact that her children stood up for her relating to the fact that people were trying to sell her story from the past!!!’ she continued. ‘They said “why the hell bring up things that happened 20 years ago if that really messed up my mom???’

Britney mentioned a ‘comedic TV comparison,’ which appeared to be a reference to Pam & Tommy, which starred Lily James as sex tape–era Pamela, while Avengers: Endgame star Sebastian Stan played Tommy Lee.

‘He went on to say because of the embarrassment she went through a very dark period in her life … I mean when I read THAT, I was like DAMN!!!’ the singer continued, noting a connection between herself and Pam.

‘With 4 documentaries released about me last year with people I adore speaking about my past!!! THAT alone was almost as hard as what I went through in my past!!!’ she continued.

As usual, her caption turned into a rebuke of her father Jamie Spears and her brother Bryan. She appeared to call out her father for ‘tak[ing] over for 15 years of my life!!!’

Britney also blasted Bryan for thinking that ‘THAT TIME WAS REALLY GOOD FOR OUR FAMILY.’

‘I’M SURE IT WAS… giving me way too much work while he while they HAD THEIR MEETINGS [sic],’ she wrote. ‘I know I’ve spoken about this a couple of times but 15 years is an extremely long time!!!’

She returned to the subject of Pamela Anderson, writing, ‘So Pamela gave me an understanding that people should support you exactly where you are in that moment of your life…’

Britney then wondered if it makes ‘other people and my family subconsciously and secretly feel WAAAAY better about themselves to embarrass me and bring up my past??? The answer is yes!!! 100%!!!’

She concluded by criticizing how she was portrayed in the recent spate of documentaries, calling them ‘extremely embarrassing.’

‘It felt semi-illegall!!! But you know I was told once we all die in the end… chill out and let it go!!!’

Britney brought up Pamela’s son approvingly after the two publicly defended their mother.

In the new documentary, Dylan said he felt Pam & Tommy — which was created by Robert Siegel and and also starred Seth Rogen — was done in bad taste and poorly put together from a storytelling perspective.

‘Why bring something up from 20 years ago that you know f***ed someone up?’ Dylan said. ‘The worst part of her life and making a semi-comedy out of it didn’t make sense.’

‘She would’ve made millions of dollars if she just would have signed a piece of paper,’ Brandon said. ‘Instead, she sat back with nothing and watched her career fizzle into thin air. She was in debt most of her life.’

Dylan said he thinks her life and career would have been on a different trajectory ‘if she did cash in on the tape.’

He added, ‘It just shows you, right? Like, that thing guaranteed made people millions of dollars, and she was like, “No.” She 100 percent cares about her family being OK and me being OK. Never cared about money.’

Speaking with Extra, Brandon said his mother was criminally underpaid during her time on Baywatch from 1992-1997.

‘When I go back and I even look at past deals and residual checks people would be shocked to find out how people really took advantage of her … a young girl making a bad deal on a big show and she was the biggest star at the time,’ he said.

He continued: ‘A lot of people made a lot of money off that, people are going to have to have their day when we come knocking … when she makes $4,000 a year off of Baywatch? That’s a crime.’

While Britney was heartened by Pamela’s children’s response to recent publicity, their behavior seemed to be a contrast to the less-than-supportive public reaction of her own children, Sean and Jayden.

Back in August, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline revealed that the boys were keeping their distance.

‘The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now,’ he said. ‘It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.

‘This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else,’ he continued, seemingly referring to Britney’s many bizarre posts. ‘It’s been tough. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.’

But Britney’s post-conservatorship semi-nude Instagram posts, which were even more frequent around that time, appeared to have made it difficult for the boys to spend time around her.

‘I try to explain to them, “Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.: But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.’

He added, ‘I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.’
