The body of a man has been found with burns and other injuries in a local park. 

The grim discovery was made at Glennon Park near Pappas Way in Nerang, a suburb of the Gold Coast, on Tuesday around 6.30am. 

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the body of the man who had suffered multiple injuries.

Police said the body had been burned and believe the man had been moved to the park after he was killed elsewhere, reported the Gold Coast Bulletin. 

Officers from Queensland Police have set up a crime scene in the area and are currently conducting investigations into the death of the man. 

The man has not been identified.  

A spokeswoman from Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia that officers currently conducting inquiries into the incident and investigations into the death of the man are ongoing. 

Earlier, officers were seen putting up a tent next to a junior rugby league filed as detectives scoured the crime scene to obtain evidence. 

Officers were also seen combing through shrubs behind the field. 

Anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour or has any information about the incident, has been urged to contact police.
