Fleet Week 2018 has officially kicked off with the annual Parade of Ships sailing straight into New York.

Four Navy ships, three US Coast Guard cutters, four Naval Academy yard patrol boats, two Military Sealift Command ships and a Royal Canadian Navy vessel joined this year’s Parade of Ships.
The Norfolk-based USS Arlington was spotted sailing past the Statue of Liberty to kick off the seven-day spectacle.
The ship arrived from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina carrying several hundred Marines.
The mini-armada will subsequently be docked throughout the city at various locations for the next week and open to the public for free tours.
Now in its 30th year, the week-long spectacle will also include military demonstrations, musical performances and other events.
Fleet Week 2018 will be held from Wednesday, May 23 until Tuesday, May, 29.
