A Texas couple were Monday arrested after police received a call from a concerned family member that the two left their 11-year-old daughter home alone to attend a concert across the country.
Police in Harris County said John Guerrero, 48, and Virginia Yearnd, 39, left their Houston home Wednesday and drove to Detroit to see English industrial metal band, Godflesh, in concert.
The pair had been away for fivedays while their 11-year-old daughter was home alone.

The pair returned home Monday, when they were arrested, for leaving their 11-year-old daughter (pictured) home alone for almost a week
The aunt of the young girl reported the incident to police on Thursday.
When police arrived the the home, they said the child was trying to cook food on her own, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The couple were arrested Monday after they arrived back home.

Guerrero and Yearnd were booked Monday to the Harris County Jail without bond
Yearnd reportedly told police she asked another family member to check on her child, but they never showed up to do so.
Guerrero and Yearnd were booked Monday to the Harris County Jail without bond.
They have been charged with second-degree felony child endangerment.
