A passer-by pictured angrily confronting Boris Johnson as he walked to work at Downing Street is company director and senior management advisor Bob Meadows, MailOnline can reveal.

Mr Johnson was strolling through St James’s Park in glorious sunshine swigging from a reusable Costa coffee cup, when he was spotted by Mr Meadows who was out enjoying the one hour of exercise permitted during the lockdown.

Mr Meadows was dramatically captured pointing his finger at the Prime Minister who looked on bemused, with friends claiming that he was angry at the Government’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.

A furious Mr Meadows was accompanied on his stroll last Saturday by his wife Sandy, who is seen smiling as her husband gives Mr Johnson a piece of his mind. 

Mr Meadows confirmed to MailOnline that he had accosted Mr Johnson but refused to reveal any details of what was said. No10 has also not commented on the nature of the conversation. 

But a friend and neighbour of Mr Meadows revealed: ‘Bob has a lot of experience at senior management level and feels very angry at how the Government has handled the coronavirus crisis, especially the way NHS staff are being treated.

‘Bob lives near St James’s Park and walks with Sandy there every day. It was a beautiful morning, they were enjoying the sunshine and weren’t expecting the Prime Minister to be walking past.’

Another friend added: ‘Bob’s company has done a lot of work with the NHS and he is furious at Boris. When he saw him, he took the opportunity to let him know what he thinks.

‘From what I’ve heard, Bob did not hold back but that’s him. He’s a straight talker who believes in delivering results and does not believe that Boris is up to the job.’

On his LinkedIn page, Mr Meadows talks about the importance of courage which has enabled him to a enjoy a successful business career spanning more than 30 years. 

He also describes himself as somebody ‘passionate to see people achieve their full potential.’

Mr Meadows, 70 and Sandy, 68 live in a luxury £2 million flat in exclusive Pimlico, south west London, which is around a 10-minute walk from St James’s Park. They have two grown up children.

The couple are both directors of Saxonbury Limited, a top-level business consultancy which operates from their home that specialises in recruiting directors for major companies and advising senior executives.

On its website, Saxonbury, which was founded in 1991, reveals that among the businesses it has worked with in the past include a number of FTSE 100 companies and the NHS.

Mr Meadows is fluent in French and Italian and has worked extensively in senior management across the world. Sandy is also highly experienced in a variety of top-level advisory roles.
