Peak-hour chaos after a horror crash involving a truck and a cyclist brings traffic to a standstill on one of Sydney’s busiest roads

A crash at Glebe has sparked peak-hour chaos with all westbound lanes along Parramatta Road closed in the area. 

A truck and cyclist were involved in a crash at the intersection of Ross Street and Parramatta Road at 4.35pm on Thursday. 

The cyclist – a woman aged in her 30s – has been left in a critical condition and will be transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment.

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia the truck driver will undergo mandatory blood and urine tests.

One city bound lane is closed and westbound traffic is being diverted into Ross Street. 

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
