‘Party pad’ owned by the late cricket great Shane Warne goes on the market for an eye-watering $6million

A sprawling sea-side estate owned by the late cricket legend Shane Warne is on the market for an eye watering listing price of $5.4million-$6million according to realestate.com.au.

Located in Victoria’s sought-after Portsea, 110km from Melbourne, the 4020sq m property features four-bedrooms and three-bathrooms.

Warne bought the Mornington Peninsula home in 2020 for $3.6million and planned to convert it into a party pad, with jet ski range and bowling alley.

According to the report, Warne had submitted a DA to the local council for a major renovation.

Warne’s make-over for the classic bluestone also included a gym and games room, home cinema, wine cellar and observation deck.

However, no work had begun on the renovation before Warne’s untimely death of natural causes in Thailand last year at age 52.

An old friend of Warne, Jonathan Dixon of real estate agents, JP Dixon, has been enlisted to sell off the property on behalf of his family.

Built high on a hill, the property features gated access, gorgeous water views and a large pool area with paved entertainment deck and a tennis court.

Each of the bedrooms offer built-in wardrobes, while the main suite boasts a sunroom and en suite.

There’s also a huge living area, with open fireplace and a bar.

Other features include an entertainment ‘pavillion’, and a climate control system.

It comes after Warne’s estate sold-off a luxury apartment in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs worth $10million last July.

Located in the exclusive Saint Moritz luxury development in St Kilda, Shane’s family arranged for the opulent digs to be on-sold to a private buyer via developer Tim Gurner reported the Herald Sun.

The stunning $540million beachside apartment complex attracted the likes of high-profile stars and wealthy businessmen including footy personality Sam Newman and businessman Antony Catalano.
