He has been busy constructing his dream family home in Byron Bay after purchasing the land for his property back in 2015. 

And it’s been revealed that Pat Rafter will be neighbours with Chris Hemsworth, as his sprawling mansion is just a few kilometres away from the Thor star’s own lavish pad. 

The Tennis ace is set to move into his new home any day now, after splashing out $1.5million on the build, along with an extra $55,000 to include his very own full-size tennis court and clubhouse in his back yard.

The finished design of Pat’s home can be seen in new aerial images of the stunning property, which sits on 28 hectares. 

The luxury build boasts a sleek and contemporary finish and comes complete with a long drive way and its own private pool. 

It will provide plenty of space for Pat and his wife Lara, who tied the knot back in 2004 in Fiji and share two children son Joshua, 16, and daughter India, 14.

The family were previously based in Queensland, but have returned to New South Wales now their rural retreat is complete. 

Throughout his tennis career, Rafter achieved a number one ranking back in 1999 after winning the US Open for two consecutive years in 1997 and 1998. 

He reached the Wimbledon final in 2000 and 2001, before announcing his retirement from tennis in 2002.

It comes complete with its own clubhouse and was finished in June, with the construction reportedly adding an extra $55,000 onto the cost of the home’s entire works. 

Rafter has spent nearly $3million on the property in total, after first scooping up the land four years ago for $1.35million and later financing its renovation costs.

He isn’t the only celebrity to set up home in the Byron Bay area, as Chris Hemsworth’s Broken Head mega-mansion sits close by.

The hilltop complex that sits high above Seven Mile Beach comprises of a 50 metre infinity pool, palm trees and a wraparound roof terrace.
