Paul portrays the all-powerful Vision in the film – set to go on worldwide release on Friday – and recently admitted that getting into character was no easy feat, as it took two-and-a-half hours in the makeup chair to recreate the android.
Earlier this month, he also admitted that it took two attempts at popping the big question before his wife Jennifer finally said yes.
The actor recalled the tale during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine, as he also admitted diary clashes stopped him from playing Prince Phillip in Netflix’s critically-acclaimed period drama The Crown.
Chatting to stand-in host Christine Lampard he said: ‘I proposed to Jennifer twice – it happened over the phone and then it happened in Los Angeles.’

Paul had previously said he took the plunge and proposed to ‘childhood crush’ Jennifer in 2001 despite not knowing her very well, telling Larry King in 2015 he declared his love two days after the September 11 attacks.
But despite a bumpy proposal, the couple have now been married for 15 years and have two children.
Paul also divulged the reason why he missed out on playing older Prince Phillip in The Crown, with the role instead going to Game Of Thrones star Tobias Menzies.
Revealing why he did not take over the role from Matt Smith, the London-born actor said: ‘It was discussed, we just couldn’t come to terms with dates.’
