Paul Gascoigne enjoyed a stroll along the beach with his co-stars Beatrice Marchetti and Francesca Lodo during filming for Italian’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in Honduras on Saturday.

The former footballer, 53, appeared to be recovering well as he ditched his arm brace after dislocating his shoulder.

According to sources, the sports legend will face ‘mental challenges’ as his injury has forced him out of competing in physical games for the remaining duration of the competition.

On how he’ll participate in the series, a source told The Sun: ‘He can’t do anything physical for at least two weeks, but the aim is for him to be mentally challenged.

‘We are looking at some Italian ­language tests or maybe arithmetic or geography questions.’ MailOnline has contacted Paul’s representatives for further comment. 

Gazza is also set to be joined by lingerie models Manuela Ferrara and Emanuela Tittocchia, who will participate with the celebs next week.

The TV star made a return to the show last month after he was rushed to the hospital when he injured himself during an endurance game. 

Paul recently revealed he would be willing to return to the programme despite his accident. 

At the time, the former Lazio player said he is ‘quite good’ and added that his shoulder is ‘so, so’ as the presenter Ilary Blasi asked for updates on his health condition.

The media personality is reportedly being paid around 7,000 euros (£5,981) for each week he is taking part in the show.

According to the newspaper Il Messaggero, he signed a contract for the weekly fee alongside actress Vera Gemma, actor Brando Giorgi, former Italian Strictly star Giles Rocca and actor Roberto Ciufoli.

TV presenter Elisa Isoardi is reportedly the contestant who has signed for the highest weekly wag at, 15,000 euros (£12,816).
