Former England footballer Paul Scholes is supporting his son in court today as the teenager faces an assault trial.
Arron Scholes, 19, is alleged to have attacked a man at a pub in Oldham in June last year.
Scholes Jnr, of Greater Manchester, pleaded not guilty to the assault at a hearing in January and now faces a trial.

At a previous hearing, a prosecutor told Tameside Magistrates’ Court that the alleged victim was in a pub in the Upper Mill area of Oldham when the incident unfolded.
Former Manchester United midfielder Scholes, who resigned as the manager of Oldham Athletic earlier this month, arrived ahead of the court hearing with his wife, Claire.
Arron Scholes is understood to live with his parents in their large home in a village outside of Oldham.
He was granted bail ahead of today’s trial, which prosecutors say could run over into tomorrow.
