‘This supremely lucky lady is heading for a vacation in the sun with a girlfriend. 5 days of water and sun — hoping to fix some of the damage I incurred on my “adventure,”‘ she wrote.

‘No, cannot say anything more [than] that. You’ll all find out next year. For now, let me entertain you with totally inconsequential vacation pics!’

Porizkova’s latest trip comes after she bared both her body and soul for StyleLikeU’s ‘Defying Ageism’ video series, which was released last week.

In the nearly 20-minute interview, she removed her clothing piece by piece while detailing the dissolution of her marriage to her late husband Ric Ocasek and her battle against ageism.

She explained that when she hit her late 40s, she became invisible to her rocker husband, whom she was in the process of divorcing when he died in September 2019.

‘We had been together for my entire life, since I was 19, and suddenly he seemed not to find me attractive anymore,’ she shared. ‘I started feeling like I was a coffee table, something you put s**t on and bump into in the middle of the night but pay no more attention to other than that.

‘It made me feel worthless as a woman. I thought I was going to stay with this man for the rest of my life.’

Porizkova admitted that The Cars frontman never actually listened to her, but he had always seen her and wanted her, which was enough to sustain her for years. But then she grew up.

‘I realized that I wanted my partner, my husband, to listen to me, so that he could see that I’m no longer just the hot model that he had married,’ she said. ‘There were other things about me that I thought were valuable — pretty much everything but my looks.

‘I had thought I was boring for 30 years because my husband made me feel boring. Because whenever I would speak, he would just yawn and look around and completely dismiss me. I sort of went with that for a while until I could no longer take it.’

Porizkova, who shares sons Jonathan and Oliver with Ocasek, explained that her insistence that she be heard was the beginning of the end of their relationship.

‘I started changing the rules on what our marriage was supposed to be, and then he started changing his rules, too. “Oh, well, if you’re gonna be demanding and a b***h, then, well, I’m not gonna touch you.”‘

The writer decided to give Ocasek an ‘ultimatum’ when she still loved him and wanted to make their marriage work, thinking it ‘might snap him out of it.’

‘I said, “You know, I’m really unhappy, and you don’t seem to want to work on anything, and so I think maybe we should be heading towards separation, maybe divorce,”‘ she recalled.

‘He just looked at me really coldly and said, “Well, it seems like your mind’s made up, so whatever.” And that was it. I really, really couldn’t believe it. … That was all the fight he was going to put up for me.’

Porizkova said she started balling crying and ran off, feeling there was nothing left she could do to save their marriage.

‘I loved my husband for 35 years. The last three of which we were separated,’ she explained. ‘We were there for each other in those kinds of physical ways that we had become habituated to, it was just no longer marriage.’

Porizkova was overcome with unrelenting grief after she found Ocasek dead in their shared Manhattan townhouse in 2019. The next day, she learned he had cut her out of his will and left her without any money, including her own earnings.

She candidly documented her struggles with depression, anxiety, and anger on social media in the wake of his passing. She spent most of her days crying, and she was also going through menopause.

‘I feel like somebody just peeled my skin off. Like this process of grieving and heartbreak and betrayal, it stripped me of my Paulina skin, the one that I used to know, the one that used to protect me.

‘I don’t have anything that protects me anymore. Things hurt much more, but I can also feel the joy much more. I feel everything.’
