Former Australian Idol contestant Paulini Curuenavuli has pleaded guilty to paying a roads official $850 in exchange for an unrestricted driver’s licence. 

Curuenavuli, who is playing the lead role in musical The Bodyguard, arrived at a western Sydney on Monday wearing strappy stilettos and leather pants.   

The singer was filmed walking in a side entrance at Mount Druitt Local Court, with her lawyer at her side. 

The offence carries a maximum seven-years behind bars.

Monday’s appearance comes after she failed to appear at her last mention in August citing scheduling clashes with her performance in The Bodyguard.  

Curuenavuli shot to fame in 2003 as a contestant on the first season of Australian Idol. Her role in The Bodyguard is her first acting gig.
