An elderly pedestrian is fighting for life after he was struck by a cyclist who then fled the scene.
The 79-year-old man was hit as he walked near a shopping centre at Main Street Plaza in Pakenham, south-east Melbourne at 8.20am on Tuesday.
The man was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A search operation was launched after the cyclist fled the scene.
About three hours later a blue bike was found outside an abandoned warehouse in Cook Street.
A 24-year-old man was found inside the warehouse and was arrested.
A crime scene has been set up at the shopping centre.
