Pensioner found dead on Sevenoaks railway embankment

A pensioner who went missing seven months ago has been found dead on a railway embankment.  

Ken Henson, 80, was found on the bank near Sevenoaks Railway Station on Boxing Day after he was reported missing in May.

The father-of-two had dementia and was last seen on CCTV after popping in the shop at a Shell garage, up the road from where he lived on Friday May 26.

Despite extensive searches over the following months no trace could be found to Mr Henson.

A spokesman said: ‘Kent Police officers are carrying out enquiries following the discovery of a body in the Clarendon Road area of Sevenoaks.

‘The death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

‘While the body has not yet been formally identified, the family of missing person Ken Henson have been informed.

‘Mr Henson, 80, from Sevenoaks, was last seen on the evening of Thursday 25 May 2017.

‘The body was discovered by a member of the public on the bank near Sevenoaks Railway Station at about 11.25am on Boxing Day.’
