The $4.50 Sunfresh Moisture Absorber Container received praise online after a mother posted about them on Facebook, with many Australians admitting they had no idea the product existed.
‘Who else uses these and finds them so awesome – for those that don’t know what they are moisture suckers. They are great for the wardrobe or anywhere you have moisture or dampness,’ she wrote.
The $4.50 Sunfresh Moisture Absorber Container received praise online after a mother posted about them on Facebook
‘They can be purchased from most places, Coles, Woolworths, seems Bunnings [is] the cheapest to purchase from – I get them 6 for $10,’ she said.
Each container is filled will efficient ‘bead absorbers’ that help reduce dampness and prevent the growth of bacteria or mould.
The product can be used between three to six weeks depending on the humidity, and over time the beads transform into a liquid.

To use simply remove the silver layer on top of the container and place in a desired area – but it is not recommended to use the absorber in the bathroom.
The translucent container also makes it easy to see when the beads have changed into a liquid, indicating that the product has absorbed the maximum amount of moisture.
Other social media users on Facebook said the product works so well it’s ‘like magic’.
‘Great for the pantry,’ one woman said, another added: ‘I have them in every room.’
‘I bought a giant one. I leave it in the shed – so satisfying and cuts down on the mould,’ another person said.
‘You can also buy refill bottles from Bunnings for about $9 for three kilos!’ a fourth added.
Another recommended: ‘Best thing in the car too for rainy days.’
For those wanting to absorb large quantities of moisture, other customers suggested purchasing a dehumidifier.
