With the majority of Americans hunkering down with little to do besides worry, NBC News has created an open forum for people to get their secrets off their chests without repercussion or pass the time by reading about others’ turmoil.  

Many of the confessions are heartbreaking while others are more infuriating, especially those from adults who are admittedly flouting social distancing and putting everyone around them at risk.

The confessions are broken down by state and categories, including childcare, pet care, supplies, dating, work, and family and friends. 

‘I’m still secretly getting my nails done in the basement of an office building,’ one person admitted. ‘We sneak in through a back entrance.’

‘My boss told me to park behind our office building so we don’t get busted for still going to work,’ a frustrated employee shared. 

Someone else confessed: ‘I took toilet paper from my gym and a hand sanitizer from a restaurant.  

Unsurprisingly, some of the most damning secrets involve sex and infidelity. 

‘I am stuck home with just my stepmother and we ended up having sexual intercourse out of boredom. I hope my dad doesn’t find out,’ one man revealed. 

‘I’ve been having an affair with my EMS coworker since the beginning of the month,’ someone else shared. 

A number of people have admitted that being quarantined with their spouses has made them realize that their marriages are doomed. 

‘I realized that I don’t really like my husband,’ one person revealed. ‘I don’t think I ever did, and this self-isolation with him just brings it home.’

Another shared: ‘I don’t know if my marriage can survive this pandemic. All of the kids are home and my husband works from home. It’s too much.  

‘Wife and I are separated, live apart, She’s “high risk,”‘ someone else explained. I want to move back to help her but she doesn’t want that. It’s awful.’

Meanwhile, singles have confessed to battling loneliness while quarantined by themselves.  

‘Super afraid I’m going to die alone, single for 5 years. Isolation sucks away hope,’ one person wrote. 

‘I was ghosted during quarantine after he humored me for a year,’ another admitted. 

Many of the confessions were tear-jerking posts from people who fear they will infect their families or never see their loved ones again. 

‘I am a police officer working 6 days a week on patrol. I am exposed all day and scared to bring it home to my family,’ someone shared.

‘Afraid I’ll never hug my grandchildren and sons again,’ one grandparent revealed.
