People share their most horrifying (yet satisfying) zit-popping stories

Popping zits is one of the most horrifying, yet satisfying, sensations to experience when reliving the skin of those pesky bumps.

While it is a sensation that doctors often advise against to avoid scarring, most people have experienced the satisfaction of pushing out the gunk from the pores.

In an article for The Cut, the online site compiled some of the most horrifying stories from people about their own experience popping zits, and it is sure to make your stomach turn.

Horrifying: People revealed some of the most disgusting zit-popping stories that happened to them. Some of which include zits that smelled horrible after they were popped (stock image)

Nurses and doctors have seen it all. But, as one nurse revealed, that still can’t prepare them for everything – particularly when it comes to a squirting cyst.

According to the nurse, during a cyst excision, they usually ‘try to keep the cyst intact in its perfect little sac’ so as to avoid any messy extractions.

However, despite their best efforts the cysts can sometimes ‘pop in the removal process’ and on one occasion, it happened in a most dramatic – and rather gory – fashion.

‘The doctor went to make the first incision and a huge shot of greenish yellow liquid shot directly into her face,’ the nurse revealed, adding that her colleague was left with a look ‘of pure horror’ on her face, even after the liquid was wiped away from her mouth and eyes.

In another stomach-turning story, one woman, who described herself as being ‘blessed with adult acne’, got closer with her boyfriend than intended after he found her in the bathroom attempting to pop a zit on her butt with a needle.

Rather than running a mile in the opposite direction, the woman’s boyfriend of two years stuck around, and they decided to take their relationship to the next level by letting him attempt to pop the pimple for her.

Unfortunately, the woman did not get the relief she needed because the zit was not ready to be popped – and she vowed to ‘FaceTime her best friend’ to help her through any future butt blemish procedures.

And they are not the first couple to confide in The Cut about zit-popping experiences.

One woman who confessed that she and her husband ‘find a lot of joy in getting a good squeeze in on each other’s bods’ recalled a time when she was straddling his bare back to see if there were any pimples she could pop.

But instead of a zit, the woman was greeted with something slightly more surprising, a mark that she thought looked like ‘a really weird mole’ which she felt her husband should get checked out by a doctor.

Despite her conviction that the blemish wasn’t actually a pimple, she gave it a prod – just in case – and began to see something ‘rising within the pore’, which then turned into a ‘rock hard’ tube made out of an unknown substance started to push out of the hole until it left a gaping ‘crater’ in her husband’s back.

‘The first fifth of it was completely black,’ the woman explained. ‘It seemed to go on forever.’ To this day, the couple doesn’t know exactly what was extracted during that instance.

In another disgusting incident, one woman’s boyfriend asked for her to squeeze a zit that was on his butt cheek because he was afraid to do it. But the woman got a lot more than she bargained for when she agreed to his request.

After dealing with the butt cheek blemish, the woman asked to pop an ingrown hair that had been lingering on her boyfriend’s back for a while – but much to her horror, popping the zit left behind the most horrific smell that made the poor woman ‘dry heave and almost vomit’ because the scent was so strong.

The zit has returned since she first popped it, but the woman refuses to touch it again after the unfortunate incident.

But that is not the first time a zit-popping experience resulted in an unwanted smell from the bump.

One woman’s husband found a dot on his chest that he realized was able to be popped. The man agreed to let his wife do the honors, but they were not expecting the hole to a secret cheese-like mixture.

‘As I squeezed a thin strand of whitish-yellow string cheese started spiraling out, and just kept going,’ the woman told The Cut.

She went on to describe how the zit left a very strong smell that mirrored rotten Brie cheese and brought the couple to a ‘level of intimacy’ that she never expected.

For fans of the Dr. Pimple Popper videos, there was an incident during an appointment that the person described was fit for the viral star’s YouTube channel.

A patient who was in his 30s had a huge cyst on his cheek that had been there for a few years before steadily growing larger.

‘As I gave him a pinch of numbing and opened it, it was so full of oil that the pressure shot the cyst contents against the wall and even the ceiling of the exam room,’ the person told the online site.

A maintenance crew had to come in and sterilize the room by replacing the ceiling tiles the pus hit. But the man was relieved of his cyst and went home happy.
