With winter right around the corner, thousands of Australians are starting to think about their next holiday destination to escape the cold season.
But deciding where to go can be a difficult decision, especially when there are so many new ‘must-visit’ destinations flooding social media every day.
To help find the most suitable getaway, Bed Threads have revealed the best places to travel in 2019 based on their star sign.

Aries: March 21 – April 19
Aries crave adventure and are often planning trips to different corners of the globe in a bid to see everything in it.
No trip with an Aries is the same as it could vary from joining an overnight bus trip with people they’ve just met, a food tour of Italy or a surfing trip in Hawaii that could last a number of weeks.
This year Aries will want to continue the adventure which is why somewhere like the Canadian Rockies would be somewhere to consider.
With jagged, ice-capped peaks, it’s a region of alpine lakes, diverse wildlife and outdoor recreation sites, the perfect place to satisfy their travel bug.
Taurus: April 20 – May 20
Taureans love travel with a little bit of luxury as for them seeing the world is all about walking through beautiful streets on the way to delicious food and wine.
Because of this they would best be suited travelling to a big city where the world is their oyster, such as London or Paris.
But this doesn’t mean smaller food capitals. Cape Town or Tasmania shouldn’t be ruled either as both cities provide everything a Taurean would love.

Gemini: May 21 – June 20
In 2019 Gemini’s should book a holiday that satisfies both sides of their personalities.
If they love shopping as well as activity then a city like Los Angeles would suit them perfectly thanks to its combination of outdoor adventures and luxurious retail experiences.
If they’re a fan of swimming at a stunning beach by day and enjoying a pumping nightlife in the evening, then somewhere like Mykonos or Ibiza would fit the bill.
Cancer: June 21 – July 22
As Cancers are often calm and measured, a road trip would be the ideal holiday as it means they can take their time enjoying the views.
Driving through the middle of America stopping in every diner they come across or travelling from one end of Italy to the other would suit them perfectly.

Leo: July 23 – August 22
Leos are a positive-thinking sign that are often chasing the sun which means a beach side holiday would be the perfect fit.
This sign would feel right at home in a country like Sri Lanka, with its pristine beaches, delicious curries and tea plantations perfect for adventuring.
Days can easily be spent hopping from one beach to another.
Virgo: August 23 – September 22
Most Virgos are practical and super organised which often means their trips are usually planned weeks, if not months, in advance.
They know the best dinner spots and night clubs as well as the hole-in-the-wall cafes for the best cup of coffee.
They also know the best under-the-radar places to travel to this year, which means they will be visiting Helsinki in Finland because it is as cool as Copenhagen and as stylish as Stockholm, but without the crowds.

Libra: September 23 – October 22
Librans love balance which often means they pick serene and spiritual places to visit so they can reconnect with themselves.
This is why the island of Bali, India and Cambodia are normally their go-to places when booking a holiday.
To spice things up this year, Librans should instead plan a trip to Japan where they will experience one of the oldest civilisations in the world as well as a country with the latest in technology.
To unwind they will be able to explore the peaceful ancient temples and spend some time at a Japanese onsen.
Scorpio: October 23 – November 21
Travelling Scorpios like to get out of their comfort zone which often results in them avoiding tourist driven areas.
They much prefer to experience something new which is why a country like Morocco could be just the ticket with its colourful markets and delicious foods.
They could ride a horse through the countryside of Mongolia or travel to a bucket list destination solo – 2019 is all about them pushing their boundaries.

Sagittarius: November 22 – December 21
Sagittarians are the most adventurous of the zodiac which means this year they plan on seeing the world.
They’re natural travellers which often means they constantly have the itch to explore somewhere new.
In 2019, they may finally be doing the trip that they’ve always wanted to, whether that be a road trip across Australia or see every country on the continent of their choice.
It could even mean ticking off an experience such as seeing the Northern Lights or walking along the Great Wall of China.
Capricorn: December 22 – January 19
Capricorns aren’t very good at using their holiday time well, if they even let themselves take time off at all.
This will all change this year as in 2019 they will be travelling to a sun-drenched location that will allow them to completely switch off.
Places like the Maldives, Hawaii, Greece or Croatia will provide them with everything they need as they will be able to swim in crystal clear waters, lie on the sand and sip cocktails.

Aquarius: January 20 – February 18
Understanding the world around them and visiting history-rich locations is important for Aquarius due to their inquisitive minds and intelligence.
This is the year that they’ll be travelling straight to Machu Picchu and see the Ancient citadel of the Incan people while they learn about their impressive history.
Pisces: February 19 – March 20
Pisces are the big dreamers of the zodiac and now is the time to plan a meandering train ride that gives them time to mull over their aspirations.
Taking a luxury steamer through South East Asia or boarding the original Orient Express would suit Pisces perfectly.
If these options are too expensive there are a variety of smaller train journeys that won’t damage the pocket, such as the train that moves through China into Russia.
