Tragedy as a person plunges 268 metres to their death from Sydney’s Centrepoint Tower Skywalk – just months after a woman, 22, was also killed after falling from the building

A person has jumped 268metres to their death from Sydney’s tallest building.

Police received reports that a man had jumped from Centrepoint Tower shortly after 7pm on Sunday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene and the body of a man was discovered a short time later away from public view.  

It is believed the man jumped from the Skywalk at the top of Centrepoint Tower. 

A crime scene has been established in the area and a report is being prepared for the coroner. 

Initial police inquiries suggest the incident was self harm.
