Personal trainer bride designs WEIGHT LOSS PLAN so maid of honor will lose 30lbs. before wedding

A maid of honor was shocked and hurt when the bride, her best friend of nearly 30 years, made her an unsolicited weight loss plan so she’d drop 30lbs. before the wedding.

The 33-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida took to Reddit on Tuesday to vent her frustration and seek some advice about how to deal with the bride’s hurtful behavior.

She said that since the bride and her fiancé — who are both personal trainers — offered her a diet and fitness plan and said they expected her to lose some major weight before their wedding, she’s not even sure she wants to attend their nuptials anymore.

The Redditor and her friend have known each other since they were both five years old, but the bride’s insensitive comments have thrown a wrench in their friendship.

‘My friend is a personal trainer and just got engaged to another personal trainer. All of their friends were met through the gym they both work at,’ the Redditor explained.

‘I am not a personal trainer.. I [am] a US size 10. So I’m not obese, but I’m definitely on the fatter [side].’

But she insists that she’s healthy, and is fine with the way she looks.

I’ve never ask for help, I’ve never mentioned wanting to lose weight… They both just kind of took it upon themselves to “help me”

‘I’m very comfortable with who I am, and my doctor is too,’ she said.

It seems, however, that her best friend of nearly three decades isn’t fine with how she looks — and expects her to change her lifestyle and transform her body in time for her wedding.

Worse still, she presented the plan as if she were doing the maid of honor a generous favor.

‘Tonight she called me with the “best” news. Her fiancé and her are putting together a great work out and meal plan together for me,’ the Redditor wrote.

‘They figure if I drop 20-30lbs., the wedding pictures will be more “symmetric”. She was so happy and excited, like she was doing me a favor,’ she said.

‘I wasn’t even sure what to say so I just hung up and haven’t responded. I completely flabbergasted… This isn’t a situation where I constantly b**** about my weight and then get mad when someone offers to help.

‘I’ve never [asked] for help, I’ve never mentioned wanting to lose weight… They both just kind of took it upon themselves to “help me.”‘

She said she is ‘obviously’ going to opt out of being maid of honor now, and added that ‘at this point I not even sure I want to go.’

‘Why would anyone think this was ok? I honestly have no idea how to discuss this with her. I feel like it’s much more the fiancé than her,’ she concluded. In fact, it turns out that even the mother of the bride is confused by the bride’s behavior, too.

‘She’s turned into bridezilla. This is very out of character for her. Her Mom emailed me last night saying this wasn’t her at all, and her daughters going to regret it the rest of her life if I’m not her Maid of honor,’ she said,

She tried to say she really thought I was just too embarrassed to ask for help and this was the time to do it

Other Redditors were sympathetic and disgusted by the bride’s behavior, and ultimately, the maid on honor said she decided to skip the wedding all together.

Soon after posting on Reddit, she texted the bride to tell her not to bother to send her an invitation.

‘I talked to her, and it all came about from looking at wedding ideas on Pinterest. She has some great ideas for wedding party shots, and she “was concerned that I would see the pictures after and be embarrassed.”

‘She tried to say she really thought I was just too embarrassed to ask for help and this was the time to do it.

‘I told her I’ve never been embarrassed about my size, why would I now? She simply didn’t have an answer.’

Instead, the Redditor and her husband are going to spend the money they would have used to get to the wedding to go on a cruise with their kids.
