Perth Airport has been evacuated with emergency services on site and investigating.
Dozens of travellers took to social media on Tuesday afternoon to report the incident in Western Australia’s capital.
‘So we’re about to board the plane. Now standing in the car park with the rest of Perth airport after being evacuated. Anyone know what’s going on?’ one asked.

‘There is a first for everything. We have just been evacuated from Perth Airport in an ‘emergency’ – does anyone know why?’ another questioned.
The Airport said in a statement: ‘T1 International and Domestic have been evacuated. Emergency Services are onsite investigating. Updates to follow.’
