It can be nice when unexpected visitors call in for a chat – but not when it’s a seven-foot brown snake.
The huge reptile was photographed crawling up the front door of a family home in Perth.
The image was uploaded to Reddit this week with the caption: ‘Australia… where 7ft brown snakes politely knock when they visit.’

In the picture the huge snake can be seen slithering almost all the way up a fly screen door.
‘You guys are sure going to be in trouble when they learn to ring the doorbell,’ commented one Reddit user.
This comes only days after a NSW family were left trapped inside their home for an entire day after a huge brown snake camped outside their door unexpectedly.
Anita Johnston from Newcastle, in New South Wales, initially thought the ruckus was caused by a magpie but was surprised to see a brown snake at her doorstep instead.
She said the reptile appeared at her family home in Stockton on Wednesday morning, Newcastle Herald reports.

‘It was banging its head on the door,’ she told the publication.
‘It was striking at the door.
‘I am not worried, it can’t get in, but it was aggressive.’
According to the publication, the reptile eventually left on its own accord.
