A man who was found dead at his home on Sunday was brutally tortured, police allege.
Officers discovered the body of Andrew Minh Tran after responding to a welfare check at his home in Balga, north of Perth.
Although it hasn’t been revealed how the 29-year-old died, the alleged killing may have been brutal and involved torture, according to 9News.

Detectives and forensic police have been scouring Tran’s rental home for two days to determine how the 29-year-old died.
A crime scene connected to the alleged murder has been discovered just a few streets away from the home, according to 7News.
Neighbours were questioned regarding the incident, yet no one said they saw anything suspicious over the weekend.

Officers are investigating if Tran had any gang connections.
He reportedly moved to the property nine months prior to his death and lived alone.
The owner of the house, Dominic Calabro, was charged with Tran’s alleged murder and made a brief appearance in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 39-year-old wasn’t required to plead to the charges and didn’t make an application for bail.
He remains in custody and will appear in court later this month.
