Photo of Steve Jobs look-a-like sparks conspiracy theory that he is still ALIVE

Conspiracy theorists believe Steve Jobs is ALIVE and living in Egypt – after a picture of a man who looks strikingly similar to the late Apple founder surfaces on the internet

  • Conspiracy theorists are claiming Steve Jobs is alive and living in Egypt
  • Speculation started on Sunday, after a Reddit user shared a photo of a man baring striking similarities to the Apple founder
  • More than 1,700 people commented beneath the image, debating whether it could be Jobs – who passed away in 2011
  • The person who posted the photo did not say when the image was taken

Conspiracy theorists have been whipped into a frenzy by a photo that they believe shows Steve Jobs alive and well.

The snap, which was taken in Egypt and shared to Reddit on Sunday, shows a man who looks strikingly similar to the late Apple founder sitting on a plastic chair.

After the picture was posted on the community website, hundreds of people left comments claiming that the person wasn’t merely a doppelgänger, but that it was actually Jobs himself – despite the fact the tech guru passed away in 2011.

‘Honestly, wouldn’t put it past him. His love for Egypt and that type of simple living, one speculated.

‘m not very into conspiracy theories, but Jobs would be crazy enough to actually do it,’ they added.

Another claimed: ‘I know this is supposed to be a joke, but WTF, this guy looks too much like Steve Jobs to be so random.’

The Apple icon was known for often placing his hand on his chin while he was deep in thought, and eagle-eyed viewers on Reddit noted that the man in the image was doing the exact same thing.

‘He has the pose down. This is super weird. Very close resemblance,’ one remarked.

And while the man in the image wasn’t wearing Jobs’ trademark turtleneck and blue bootcut jeans, he was seen sporting the Apple icon’s distinctive circular spectacles.

He also went barefoot and wore a white robe, which some viewers believed would jibe with Jobs’ interest in Buddhism and spirituality.

However, a Reddit user observed that the man was wearing an analog watch – whereas Jobs would almost certainly be wearing a Apple Watch.

Another Reddit user also put a dampener on the claims by positing that Jobs would never let Apple take the turns that it had in the eight years since his death.

‘I want to believe, but Jobs wouldn’t mentally be able to just let Apple rest on it’s laurels for as long as it been,’ they stated.

The user who uploaded the photo didn’t specify when it was taken, or give details as to the exact location.
