An idyllic foreshore circuit trail on Sydney’s lower north shore has been named the ‘best secret spot’ in Sydney for a first date.

Photographer Andy Escapes named Cremorne Point, which is situated just six kilometres from the Sydney CBD, as the ‘perfect place’ to take a date.

The Point boasts picturesque views of Mosman Bay, Sydney Harbour and the city skyline.

It features an easy three kilometre harbour-side walk, harbourside bushland, formal lawn and garden areas.

There is also a stunning seawater pool, Maccallum Pool, to swim in, which is surrounded by wooden decking overlooking the harbour.

During the weekends and at sunset, the grassy reserve is often busy with couples on dates, families and small groups of friends.

A highlight of the walk is the Robertson Point Lighthouse situated at the tip of the Point walk, which offers spectacular views across Sydney at sunset.

Andy Escapes said Cremorne Point is ‘beautiful’ and ideal for a first date picnic, once the New South Wales coronavirus lockdown has lifted. 

‘The location is at the end of this video! Praying for the end of lockdown,’ Andy captioned his clip.  

Those who have visited Cremorne Point have described it as a ‘beauty’, a ‘hidden gem’ and ‘stunning’.

‘Such a natural beauty, just down the road from me,’ one commenter wrote underneath Andy Escapes’ video.

‘I know where I want to be proposed to now,’ added another.
