Experiment with Photoshop can be a good way to learn—but taking the editing too far can result in some terrifying creations.
A new series of photos shows the creepy images generated by software users with wild imaginations and varying degree of mastery of the picture editing program.
The selection includes, naturally, truly bizarre face swaps, including one switching out Bryan Cranston’s face with Anna Gunn’s in Breaking Bad.
Someone also managed to alter a photo to make it look as though a man is juggling with his own eyeballs.
Another person took time out of their busy day to insert an image of a goody golden retriever between the hands of an otherwise serious Vin Diesel, creating a hilarious, if somewhat strange, picture.
No thank you: A new series of photos shows the creepy images generated by software users with wild imaginations, including this ice cream cone with the treat replace by a snake
Double take: The selection includes, naturally, truly bizarre face swaps, including one switching out Bryan Cranston’s face with Anna Gunn’s in Breaking Bad
Are you cozy? Someone hilariously inserted the image of a large cat apparently resting comfortably on a sled pulled by dogs
Terrifying: This woman was already having a difficult time wrestling an alpaca and an eagle, but someone made it worse by inserting her distressed face onto the animals
Smooth: It is rather obvious that someone pasted another man’s face over Chris Brown’s in this photo of Rihanna at a basketball game
Skilled: This montage makes it look as though the monkey is an expert at giving buzz cuts
Teacher’s pet? A fox apparently posed for high school pictures wearing a floral vest, an orange shirt and, of course, a pair of glasses
Heavy lifting: It appears that this man’s bulging biceps is the result of photo editing rather than many bench presses
Creepy: One photo makes it look as though a man’s eyeballs slid down his face when he removed his glasses
Good boy: In this clever montage, a pole vaulting event became a chance to pet a very grateful dog on the head
Buff: One slightly terrifying image shows a cat with bulging muscles on its upper body
Worlds collide: Someone took a well-known meme of a man in a suit talking about aliens and superimposed Sigourney Weaver’s face as a reference to the movie of the same name
Mismatched: Another person took time out of their busy day to insert an image of a goody golden retriever between the hands of an otherwise serious Vin Diesel
Soon in your coffee shop? One creative mind re-imagined a jet engine into a giant cup of cappuccino, complete with foam art
Squared: Someone modified the appearance of a cat based on the angular characters of the video game Minecraft
Nice try: The six-pack on the person on the right seems a little too defined to be real
Scary: One montage makes it look like this bird has extremely muscular arms instead of wings
The best thing since sliced bread? This jockey appears to be riding on a loaf rather than a horse
That must hurt: Someone also managed to alter a photo to make it look as though a man is juggling with his own eyeballs
Less violent: A person replaced Rambo’s gun with an image of a monkey getting a haircut
Seems… tasty? Another person re-invented carne asada tacos into ‘Kanye asada’, featuring the rapper’s face instead of beef
Handy: Wouldn’t it be convenient if ottomans doubled up as dog houses and foot rests?
Instagram browns gone too far: This snap enlarges this woman’s eyebrows rather excessively
Job done: This young man wanted their face photoshopped onto the photo of a handsome model, and someone responded by making his face take up the man’s entire torso
Something doesn’t add up: It seems unlikely that this youthful face and these impressive muscles belong to the same person
Floating away: One shot makes it look as though a married couple is standing on a giant swan
Weird: Someone took this man’s face and substituted it for his torso while putting his T-shirt on top of the whole thing
Not creepy at all: This montage makes it look like a giant baby Santa is picking up a little girl with an old man’s face
Cry me a river: In a rather cheesy edit, a woman can be seen shedding tears while her silhouette morphs with the scenery behind
Sure: One man tried to pretend he had six-pack abs and claimed the off-color skin was due to ‘hard hours put in daily’
Measurements: One person modified Chris Evans’ body so that it would resemble that of his character Captain America
Very believable: This image make sit seem like this couple narrowly escaped a shark attack
What’s going on here? The selection includes this utterly bizarre beach-themed collage
Goodbye! It looks like another person was rather clumsily edited out of this picture, with their white show remaining at the bottom of the snap
