PICTURE EXCLUSIVE Anna Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer marries Francesco Carrozzini

Anna Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer was the picture of elegance as she tied the knot on Saturday in a long-sleeved dress.

Bee, 30, wed her photographer beau Francesco Carrozzini, 35, on Saturday at Anna’s sprawling home in Mastic, Long Island.

Exclusive images capture Bee and Francesco posing next to a rustic garden house on the water of Lons Creek, which runs alongside the property, for some romantic shots, with Bee standing in front of the camera in her long, white dress and veil.

The bride opted to keep her dark brunette hair pulled back in a simple bun, and wore her cathedral-length veil hooked over the chic updo.

Bee chose a very traditional silhouette for her gown, wearing a perfectly-tailored silk design that accentuated her slim figure with a nipped-in waistline, while the square neckline showed off her decolletage. She added a fashionable flourish to the look courtesy of the long puff sleeves.

Francesco, the son of late Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani, also appears to have gone with a classic look, wearing what looks like a dark navy suit on top of a white shirt, paired with a dark tie.

Bee, who works in Broadway theater production, having left her job on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2017, can be seen in some of the images embracing her husband, resting her hands on his shoulders as he lays his around her waist.

It is possible that the duo, who enforced a strict social media ban at their nuptials, may well be sharing an inside look at their wedding with Vogue, which would serve as a sweet send-off for Anna, who is rumored to be stepping down from her role as Editor-in-Chief after this year’s September issue has gone to press.

Although these rumors have yet to be confirmed by anyone at Vogue or its publisher Condé Nast – where Anna also serves as Artistic Director – many hailed Bee’s wedding as a prelude to the editrix’s alleged departure from the publication, after 30 years at the helm.

Rumors that Anna was planning to leave the magazine first began circulating in early April, when sources told  Page Six that Anna would leave Vogue and Condé Nast – where she has served as Artistic Director since 2013 -after her daughter’s wedding.

Doing so would allow her to go out in style, ending her time at the company with the publication’s iconic September issue, which is usually revealed at the start of August.

This would give Anna just enough time to include her daughter’s wedding photos in the publication should the very private couple decide to share them with Vogue’s readers.

Bee, who often appears in Vogue’s party reports, could see one or several of her wedding photos published in the magazine if her mother decides to include the frames in what could be her final issue.

Bee and Francesco’s bash was shrouded in secrecy as some guests revealed ahead of the ceremony that a strict social media ban had been enforced for the duration of the event.

Nathalie Love, the daughter of Vogue West Coast editor Lisa Love, posted a series of photos on her Instagram Story, writing on top of the frames: ‘Bye. #nosocialmedia’ — suggesting she was on her way to the bash and thus had to shut off.

In one of her social media frames, Nathalie can be seen posing with W Magazine’s style director Sara Moonves, cozying up to her in another snap marked ‘#nosocialmedia’.

Other guests included the likes of Vanity Fair and CNN correspondent Derek Blasberg, as well as Bee’s close friend Selby Drummond, who works at Vogue, and who was actually the first person to publicly reveal Bee’s engagement ring when she posted a candid picture of the bride-to-be flashing the diamond on her Instagram Story.

Interestingly, although there was a social media ban in place – potentially to maximize the surprise element if and when the official wedding images are shared publicly, be it in Vogue, or online – Bee couldn’t wait to update her own personal profile to reflect her newlywed status.

By first thing on Monday morning she had updated her username on Instagram to @beecarrozzini – perhaps a declaration to the world that she will be taking her new husband’s name and dropping

Anna has been known to shield high-profile events from social media, and has enforced a similar ban during the Met Gala — although celebrities have been known to bend the rules when they can’t resist sharing some behind-the-scenes shots of the glamorous soiree.

Francesco and Bee announced their engagement in March last year.

However prior to their engagement announcement, the two had kept their relationship mostly off the radar.

They were first rumored to be dating in October 2016, when they attended a screening of Francesco’s documentary about his mother, who served at the helm of Vogue Italia until her death in 2016, together.

The movie, Franca: Chaos & Creation, was directed by Francesco and documents the former Italian Vogue editor’s life, career, and impact on the world of fashion.

Franca, who is the focus of the film, passed away in December 2016, two months after the movie was released.

Bee and Francesco are believed to have started dating long before taking their relationship public.

The pair have attended the Met Gala together, and  were photographed hand in hand during this year’s ball.

Giving her take on the theme Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, Bee chose to wear a floor-length, one-shoulder red gown with ruffles.

Francesco went for a simple black tuxedo with a white shirt and a black bow tie, though he wore red socks complementing his then-fiancee’s dress.
