Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 30-year-old woman at a property in Hampshire.

The woman, who was named by family as Laura Dyson, was found at a house in Suffolk Road, Andover, Hampshire, and officers were called at 5.30am.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of 30-year-old mother-of-three Laura Dyson, who was found at a house in Andover, Hampshire at 5.30 this morning

It is thought that her three children were present when Ms Dyson died and her husband is being sought by police in connection with her death.

Police revealed no arrests have been made but said Ms Dyson’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector John McGonigle said: ‘Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.

‘We are carrying out extensive enquiries so you will see a significant policing presence in the community.

‘We understand that this news will be very upsetting for those living in the area, but I would like to reassure you that our officers are in the area conducting searches, carrying out house-to-house enquiries and following several lines of enquiry.

‘At this stage we do not believe that there is an ongoing risk to the wider community but if you have any concerns please speak to our officers on patrol.’

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: ‘Detectives are conducting an investigation following the death of a 30-year-old woman, from Andover, at an address in Suffolk Road.

‘Officers were called to the property shortly after 5.30am today (June 23).

‘Formal identification procedures are ongoing however her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.’  

The spokesman added that officers have identified someone they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
