Pictured: Three men wanted for questioning after two kangaroos were tortured and then killed

Three men are wanted for questioning after two kangaroos were tortured and then killed.

Western Australia Police say they have obtained images of the animals being tortured in Joondalup earlier this year but say the evidence is too graphic to release to the public.

Police have released images of the men, aged 20 to 30, who were allegedly involved in the sickening act on May 19 and June 16 this year.

One of the men is pictured wearing knuckledusters.

The first man is described as 20-30 year-old with fair skin, a medium build and dark facial hair was wearing a black hooded top and beanie with a white emblem on the front.

The second man is about 25-30 years old also with fair skin, a solid build, short brown hair and was clean shaven with a black hooded top.

The third man is described as aged 25-30 with fair skin, medium build with facial hair and was wearing a dark coloured top with a white emblem on the front with writing on the sleeves.

A fourth man, pixelated in the picture has been identified and is assisting detectives with the investigation.

No charges have been laid against the identified man.

Police are pleading for the public to assist in identifying the other three men.

In June, a video posted on Snapchat showed a kangaroo being deliberately hit by a car by a group of men in South Australia, and then suffered a stabbing and cigarette burns. The kangaroo’s head was repeatedly stomped on.

In March, a New South Wales man was convicted for filming the torture of a kangaroo, with a knife inserted into its head, pulled out and then was thrown at the animal.

Western Australia Police have been contacted for more information.
