A Labour MP has launched a foul-mouthed attack on Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan on the day his party complained about Boris Johnson’s language.
A series of opposition MPs have accused the PM of using ‘inflammatory’ language following the row about Mr Johnson’s comments on murdered Jo Cox yesterday.
But, after Piers Morgan criticised MPs on both sides from invoking the name of Ms Cox, Labour’s Neil Coyle launched a sickening tirade at the journalist.
The MP for Bermondsey and Southwark told Mr Morgan to ‘go f*** yourself’ before calling him a ‘waste of space, air and skin’. He accused him of ‘encouraging the fascists’.
To shame Mr Coyle, Piers merely retweeted the message, with the caption: ‘A Labour MP’.
Labour MP Neil Coyle told broadcaster Piers Morgan to ‘go f*** yourself’ and called him a ‘waste of space, air and skin’ on the same day as his party called for more moderate language
Mr Morgan suggested both sides had reached a new low by invoking the name of Jo Cox
Labour MP piled in, branding him a ‘sad, sick, little man’ in a tweet posted this morning
Mr Morgan responded by saying politicians shouldn’t lecture others on how to behave
Mr Coyle, then went further, with even stronger comments than in his first tweet
Mr Morgan merely retweeted the foul-mouthed message, with the caption: ‘A Labour MP’
The Labour MP’s Twitter attack came after the GMB host tweeted: ‘British politicians now using their murdered former colleague Jo Cox to wage their viciously tribal Brexit war. Parliament has reached a new low, on all sides. Disgraceful.’
He was a referring to a row which brewed up in Parliament yesterday after a Labour MP said Boris Johnson should bear in mind Ms Cox when using allegedly inflammatory language.
Labour backbencher Mr Coyle piled in tweeting: ‘You’re a sad, sick little man. For you to stoop this low is shocking. Grim.’
Mr Morgan responded: ‘Actually, you & your fellow MPs are the sad, sick, low, grim ones. Parliament has become an absolute disgrace, so don’t you dare try to lecture others on behaviour.’
Mr Coyle then went further, writing: ‘It’s early doors Piers but I say this hand on heart: go f*** yourself. You’re a waste of space, air and skin. Trying to use Jo against us whilst encouraging the fascists is shocking even for a scrote like you. You make me sick.’
Labour MPs reacted with fury yesterday after, during a discussion in the Commons, the Prime Minister rejected calls to temper his language and said the best way to honour Remainer Mrs Cox was to ‘get Brexit done’.
