  • Muhammad Ahmad put his talents towards crafting his entertainment device
  • He has released a clip showing how he made it, starting with a bit of cardboard
  • He cuts the material into zig-zag shapes to make the basic frame of the machine
  • He continues to add cardboard layers to frame until he reaches his third storey
  • And he puts the finishing touches to his machine and adds a plastic sheeting

An inventor built his own workable pinball machine using cardboard over 14 days and has demonstrated how.

Muhammad Ahmad from Punjab, Pakistan, put his talents towards crafting his own smaller version of the entertainment device.

He has released a clip showing how he made it, starting with just a flat piece of cardboard, a ruler and a pencil.

He cuts the material into zig-zag shapes to make the basic frame of the machine, before gluing on separate sheets to make the top.

The creator continues to add cardboard layers to his frame until he reaches his third storey and adds blue, yellow and red bits which is seen in the final design.

This is repeated on both sides before a tube is added to the bottom-right corner of the table to propel the ball with.

Mr Ahmad then moves on to the flippers and creates them using small elastic bands and yet more cardboard.

He puts the finishing touches to his machine – a sign saying ‘pinball’ as well as obstacles to avoid in the game area – and adds a plastic sheeting over the top.

Finally Mr Ahmad shows how to play with the contraption, which appears to be a fully-functioning pinball table.
