But fans in the Australian city were treated to the next best thing.
Unofficial lookalike, hairdresser Erin from Queensland, was mobbed on Saturday as supporters of the singer flocked to New South Wales and seemingly mistaken her.

Erin attended Pink’s concert at Sydney’s Qudos Arena on Saturday 04 August before she fell ill and was forced to postpone further performances.
Despite Pink powering through her performance on stage, it seemed like it was Erin who stole the show as she was mobbed while navigating her way around the arena.
‘I really should have been charging for photos,’ the hairdresser joked online.

In another photo posing with fans, Erin hashtagged both ‘Pink lookalike’ and ‘please get me backstage’ while also tagging radio station Nova 96.9.
Her appearance at the concert seemed to have delighted many on the night.

After being forced to postpone four of her Sydney shows on doctor’s orders, after falling ill and suffering from a gastric virus and dehydration, the extent of Pink’s health issues have now been revealed.
Live Nation’s Michael Coppel said the American singer, 38, became ‘seriously ill’ on Monday before her scheduled show, and ‘couldn’t breathe and was doubled over in pain.’
‘She suffered very serious attacks. She couldn’t breathe and was doubled over in pain and had to be taken to hospital in an emergency ambulance,’ Michael told The Herald Sun.
He revealed the Beautiful Trauma singer left hospital on Tuesday night and is ‘still quite weak.’
He added that they understand the frustrations of disgruntled fans over the cancelled shows, but said they’re happy to give Pink time off to recover.
