Pip Edwards reveals the toll COVID-19 has taken on her business

‘Managing it is quite a headache’: P.E. Nation co-founder Pip Edwards reveals the toll that COVID-19 has taken on her business following ‘split’ with rumoured fling Michael Clarke

P.E. Nation co-founder Pip Edwards has opened up about the toll that the current COVID-19 pandemic has taken on her successful activewear line.

The business, which pulled in $20 million in 2018-19, has been faced with some new challenges due to the current restrictions from coronavirus.

‘We’ve got debtors increasing, our inventory is increasing and on top of all that our production is running late, so managing that all is quite a headache,’ Pip, 40, told the Australian Financial Review this week.

When asked how she’s coping with the stress, the designer said that daily exercise and sunshine is her secret.

‘I have to walk, I have to see water and get my dose of vitamin D,’ she explained.

Pip’s issues at work come after her alleged split with rumoured fling Michael Clarke.

Rumours first emerged that Michael was dating Pip in February, shortly after he announced his separation from wife Kyly after seven years of marriage.

The Clarkes ended things in September, but didn’t confirm their break-up until five months later.

When news of a blossoming relationship surfaced, Michael and Pip both denied they were are anything more than friends.

They told Daily Mail Australia in February they had been friends for 12 years and were simply working on a project together.

Michael’s personal assistant, Sasha Armstrong, also downplayed the rumours, which had been circulating across Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

While they never publicly acknowledged they were a couple, Pip and Michael are understood to have dated after his split from Kyly.

But things ended swiftly when Michael decided he couldn’t handle the publicity that came with dating the glamorous P.E Nation founder.

He had ended his engagement to Lara Bingle in 2010 in similar circumstances.
