Pippa Middleton dissolves firm managing her ‘publishing’

Prince William will be pleased.

His sister-in-law, Pippa Middleton, has finally dissolved PXM Enterprises, the company that manages her ‘publishing activities’, which include her widely mocked party planning book Celebrate and her columns for Waitrose magazine.

Prince William is reported to have ‘quietly and diplomatically’ advised a diminution of Pippa’s commercial ventures, lest they inadvertently cause embarrassment to the Royal Family.

Just five months ago she wed hedge fund manager James Matthews in an ‘intimate’ family wedding, which is said to have cost up to £1.2 million.

It is thought commercial considerations have been of less pressing concern to Pippa since financier James slipped a £250,000 engagement ring on her finger and she moved into his £17 million home in Chelsea.

Bob Geldof’s daughter Pixie, 26, has clearly inherited her mother Paula Yates’s talent for standing out.

At a London party this week, Pixie, left, cut a dash wearing garish eyeshadow — a far cry from the sweet toddler with a bowl cut who used to accompany her TV presenter mother Paula, out and about.

Paula died of a heroin overdose in 2000, aged 41.

Model Pixie got married in June in Spain, where guests included One Direction’s Harry Styles and The Clash’s Paul Simonon.

She’s just a pop singer-turned-X Factor judge, but Nicole Scherzinger sounds grander than the Queen.

The 39-year-old former Pussycat Dolls warbler has admitted that she doesn’t know how to work her own television set.

‘But my assistants do,’ she explains in a magazine interview.

Zeta-Jones sends her best – from Bermuda

Famed for her red-carpet glamour, Catherine Zeta-Jones shared this snap of her on holiday with her family.

‘Happy Thanksgiving Day from Bermuda,’ the Oscar-winner captions the image of husband Michael Douglas, 73, with children Carys, 14, and Dylan, 17.

Catherine, 48, has admitted to being treated for depression after struggling to cope with her husband’s throat cancer.

In April, Douglas said surviving cancer gave him a ‘whole new appreciation of life’ and that he and Catherine are ‘tighter than ever’ — as this image shows.

The couple have been trying to sell their Bermuda home, on the market for £8 million, since September last year.

But they can’t be too troubled — they are said to have a fortune of £190 million. In 2003, Swansea-born star Catherine remarked: ‘A million dollars isn’t a lot of money for people like us.’

Lembit Opik, former Lib Dem MP and I’m A Celebrity grad, is offering a consultancy service for politicians in the jungle.

‘I tried to help [Tory MP] Nadine Dorries when she signed up. She’s a great person but her staff were so arrogant there wasn’t a lot I could do,’ the one-time Cheeky Girl paramour said.

Dorries had the party whip removed over her 2012 appearance — and was sent home after the first vote. Lembit’s advice for Kezia Dugdale?

‘Don’t think you’re there to discuss your political philosophy. You’re there to boost ITV’s ratings.

But I like Stanley Johnson so much, he’s even improved my opinion of Boris.’
