Pixie Lott covered in gunge at Nickelodeon’s Slimefest

She’s known for her show-shopping sartorial displays at glitzy events.

But Pixie Lott’s trademark style was ruined on Saturday as she was covered in green gunge during Nickelodeon’s Slimefest 2017 in Blackpool on Saturday.

Despite her peroxide mane being drenched with slime, the 26-year-old songstress couldn’t contain her laughter as she stood on stage covered in the neon-coloured liquid in the The Arena at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

The Boys and Girls hitmaker donned an aqua green PVC leotard for the occasion, which tightly clung to her slender frame all the way down.

Perhaps in preparation for her subsequent soaking, the singer simply paired the top with boyfriend blue jeans, but still maintained her glamorous sense of style with a sparkling pearl necklace and matching earrings.

She styled her hair into loose waves and opting for a glowing, bronzed make-up look – but both were soon ruined as she covered with thick green slime after her performance.

The singer was joined by a number of VIP guests at the bash – including Danielle Lloyd, Brooke Vincent, Chelsee Healy and Stacey Solomon.

It is no wonder Pixie was chosen to appear at the event, having recently made a comeback to the music industry after three years.

The blonde previously teamed up with DJ and producer Anton Powers on Baby earlier this year, ahead of her stint as a coach on The Voice Kids.

Her last self-titled album reached Number 15 on the Official Albums Chart and featured the Top 10 single Nasty.

Last November Pixie revealed her model beau of six years, Oliver Cheshire, 28, had proposed, getting down on bended knee in the shadow of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Speaking to MailOnline at the BBC Music Awards in December, the singer had admitted the pair were in no rush to plan their nuptials, and wanted to enjoy being engaged first.

She confessed: ‘Next year’s going to be super busy with new music and other stuff and I don’t want to rush because it I want it to be absolutely perfect.’

Although she did add that she did not want to wait too long to marry her handsome beau, stating: ‘If I don’t get time to do it then it’ll definitely by 2018 for sure.’

Police have tonight ruled out terrorism and described the crash as a ‘road traffic incident’.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and was taken to hospital for treatment before being taken to a north London police station for questioning.

It comes as the country’s current terror threat level stands at severe following a string of attacks this year and many witnesses feared the worst as panic ensued following the crash.
